I had been struggling to get my FG test server connection to work for several hours now, but now... Success!
The issue was my Time Warner Cable modem. Thank you to others (in different threads) who posted that the modem might cause problems...
My TWC modem was setup as a firewall even though I had my own router (creating a double NAT situation). Apparently TWC doesn't check for that and they just left it in that configuration.
So, I searched youtube and found this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZd_GlGz4Yk
I followed his instructions and was able to put my modem into bridge mode (from router mode) and now everything works just fine.
So, if you have a TWC modem like mine this might work. Warning , some others in that youtube link said they encountered problems doing this so proceed at your own risk!
