View Full Version : Having Video Issues with FG

Hi all hopefully one of you tech savvy gurus can help and hopefully i can explain my problem. Here it goes when i log into FG and get FG screen if i hover cursor over middle of fg screen the background of FG screen goes black but if i move cursor to edge of screen i get full screen so i can join game or loag game. Now if i join game but if i ho over chat box background goes black same id true if i hover over right side where the story and images buttons are . FG is the only place i am having issues with do not know if maybe video card is going bad or if corrupt file in FG could cause this. Please help

Hi rm,

Which operating system are you using (inc version), what resolution are you using, what is your video card and driver, etc - the more info you can provide the better/quicker we can see about solving things

Hey Dulux-Oz Current OS is Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.10586 Build 10586, using on board video card AMD Radeon HD 6530D Resolution is 1600x900 @60 p hz all recommended settings. TY for getting back to me so quickly Dulox-Oz

Windows 10 is not the issue. Many people are using W10 - Home and Pro and 32 and 64.
I would start with updating DirectX drivers.

Windows 10 comes with DirectX embedded. Updating the graphics card drivers might be what damned was referring to.

On the FG "Settings" screen make sure "Cross-platform compatibility mode for Linux and Mac" is *not* checked.

If you're starting FG through Steam make sure the Steam overlay is disabled.

Try disabling anti-aliasing on your graphics card (usually in the graphics card control panel under 3D settings).

Thank you all for trouble-shooting this for me Trenloe you nailed it was my graphics card disabled anti-aliasing and it worked.
