Norton 360 blocking updaterengine.exe

Hi All,

My Norton 360 has started blocking your updaterengine.exe. and the Norton report says "there are many indications that this file is untrustworthy". (see attached)

Should I be concerned, and how can I address this?

Hi Maadiah,

Norton is reporting a false positive - there is nothing to worry about. Make an exception in Norton to accept the updater.

Personally, (and this is solely my opinion - but see my professional qualifications and credits list) I don't use Norton nor like it much, because there are much better products out there - AVG, for instance, is a much better Anti-Virus suit (and its free).

But that is just my personal opinion :)
