Hello there, My name is Tannere, I'm looking to get into a pathfinder game. I'm a long time player of D&D 3.5, and I'm looking to get into a pathfinder game. I'm new to pathfinders system, but I've found it easy to adapt to from my 5 years experince in 3.5. I have been a DM for 3.5 for 4/5 years playing table-top games.

I'm new to the Fantasy Grounds software and Community, but I'm a quick learner and would love to play.

I'm looking to play on Fantasy Grounds because of my current gaming group. We have had a long time group here in Northern BC, but lately our group has no focus and would rather play on cell phones mid-game rather than play. Im not to happy about leaving my group, but I as a role-player feel no satisfaction with our games anymore.

As a player I really enjoy the RP aspect of gaming. I enjoy combat almost as much as being in game talking to my fellow players or NPC's. I don't often play optimized builds, I would rather play a character that feels unique, and has a personality, than play a character that was built to deal the most damage in combat.

My Favorite kinds of characters to play have to be, Melee spellcasters such as Duskblades or Varient sorcerers from 3.5. Looking at pathfinder i would love to play a Paladin or a Ranger. Though I would be open to playing a Healer (for the first time) or a support character should the game need one.

If your group needs a player feel free to message me on skype. My contact Info is dark_demon321, just tell me that you have seen my post on FG, and I will respond when I can. Thank you for reading this, and I hope to hear from you. Have a great day :D

Try looking at the Magus or Blood Rager

Magus can be played with a one level dip into swash buckler inspired blade for a fun perry and counter attack mechanic.

Magical lineage (shocking grasp) + Intensified spell = 10d6 electrical damage from a level 1 spell at level 10 (or a 11 if you dip)

Magus goes well with a str or dex build. Str build is better around level 10 while dex is better until then. Power attack + bastard sword + spell strike + free action to grip with two hands = ouch. Though the str build is going to be a serious glass cannon until you get into full plate.

Going with the Swashbuckler dip and a dex build, I recommend the Spire defender archetype for the Magus. You'd basically only loose medium and heavy armor proficiency which you wouldn't want anyway.

The Bloodrager you can build to have a reach of 10-20 feet. . . It's amusing.

Sorry for turning this into a build thing, but it sounded like you needed some direction for a gish character. Good luck finding a game: be patient and keep your eyes open. As is the case in the real world that players out number GM's is also the case here.
