After a bit of testing, it would seem that added dice of damage that have a damage type do not share the base type of damage anymore. (I seem to remember this working in the past.) Thus, for example, when using an effect to add dice of damage for a sneak attack, the added damage has only the 'precision' damage type and will get reduced by DR even if the base damage bypasses the creature's DR.

I think added damage only inherits the base damage type if there is no damage type specified in the bonus damage. I don't remember the reason for the impetus of this change at this point. I think that the answer involves making a special case for critical and precision damage types to inherit the base damage (unless other damage defined as part of that bonus damage too).

This is patched in the beta version (v3.1.6) that I just pushed into Test channel.
