Proficiency Variant

Any chance FG would ever support the Proficiency Variant of using a die instead of a fixed number? Seems like pending tough coding, that could just be a toggle option.

I actually looked into this about a month ago, but requires quite a bit of rewriting to make it work. We may look at this later, but it's not on the immediate plans.

If someone else writes an extension to do it correctly and gives me permission, I can look at including sooner.
