Hey All
Just starting using FG and wanted to understand how I can use a PC Class as BBEG. I have a 10th Level Tiefling Warlock, that I want to be the BBEG.. Can I make him as a PC and then somehow move him to NPC or do I have to make him in the Monster Stat Block which is not got all the details I want for him?
Seems like I am missing something fairly simple by being totally blind?
I Have the data packs (MM and PC) for DnD 5e if that helps?
Thanks in advance as I having trouble finding an answer.

Since nobody has mentioned it, while for certain BBEGs you might want to make the effort of setting him up like a PC, its usually easier to just use the NPCs out of Appendix B of the MM. From acolyte to veteran they are a good start to build an NPC from instead of starting from scratch.

Indeed. And the DMG tells you how to add class levels to an NPC or a monster so there's no real reason to go down the more complicated PC route really.

Normally I am not a fan of forum snark, but damn if that wasn't the funniest thing I have seen in a while. I am using it!
Edit: Well it didn't quote the https://lmgtfy.com/?q=BBEG link. That is what I was referencing.

More ribbing than snarkiness.

I agree with this completely for heirlings, commoners, priests, veterans, thugs, assassins, mages, etc. with one exception. What if the NPC joins the PC party and a player wants to run this NPC turned PC? In that circumstance, I have taken the time to build out the NPC as a PC.

Agreed. In those circumstances that's the only way to go.
