Interesting, I'll be curious to see where that goes, as for myself my imagination doesn't need that much visual help

That looks horrible and clunky to me. The "FisherPrice™ My First VR App" UI is just... not production ready.

How weird making it look like a gaming table.

Although I remember a fun bit they had with the Neverwinter MMO where your characters became the figurines on a giant gaming mat. There were even giant players looking down on your figurines as you were playing. Now that was funny!

Well Kylania it is in Alpha. So let us allow it for development and encourage them in their effort. Every great thing starts somewhere. Should see the difference between fg 2 now and fg1

The guys that were play testing it couldnt be parted from their headsets - it certainly sounds like it has some promise.
Some of the features look like things that Table Top Connect was doing.

Id love to play a VR version of D&D where I had to swing my sword, raise my shield, duck under the Ettins might swing, where my hands seemed to tingle as blue bolts of energy leapt from my finger tips! Thats what Id really love to do with a VR game :)

Geek and Sundry's twitch stream had an interactive thing with the devs of this yesterday. I still contend, alpha or not, it's just a gimmick for playing D&D. It has none of the functionality of Fantasy Grounds. The only connection to D&D is that you can look up the Basic Rules in a web browser and filter for pregen NPCs from a list and roll generic dice. But hey, you can take VR selfies, so there's that.

If you're a G&S twitch subscriber you can see the demo with Matt Mercer and friends here at 1h 24m in: https://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry/v/26487239

https://altvr.com/ for more info and to signup. It's free and runs on 2D as well.
