Old school DnD player moving to FG

So I played before 3.0 and so this is a learning time for me but looking for a group to join and learn the game

Quick learner here so wont take forever to me to catch up

West coast times are great for me but if there is a late nite group would be great

Needed to clarify I am looking to get into 3.x or what ever it is called

By old school I was referring to that I have experience of playing DnD.

Hey welcome. For old school, you should look for a Castles and Crusades game.

Hey Monkn the venerable JohnD is spot on - Castles & Crusades has the great old school feel. Your best bet to get into a game is to visit the forums regularly (every day kinda regular) and post in any new threads that are GMs looking for players. Games fill up fast so GMs often dont need to go looking thru the LFG posts. Dont be discouraged if it takes a little while to fin a game. Some Games run for 4 years so a day or three or even a week or three isnt really long at all!
