Cannot update to 3.0.13

So I have been trying for about a week now, but every time I try to update to version 3.1.3 by clicking the check for update button on the main consol, FG closes and does not come back up. This goes the same for the settings button as well. I also think this is causing problems with the chat window not appearing in a 5e game im in. I have tried to run as admin both the FGupdater and Updaterengine.exe. Any suggestions to fix this?

Sounds like something may have become corrupt. Why don't you take a copy of your Campaign Folder(s) and do a reinstall - that might fix things

I ended up figuring it out, had to go through the fg web installer to get it to work. thanks for the reply
