Cannot update to 3.0.13

So I have been trying for about a week now, but every time I try to update to version 3.0.13 by clicking the check for update button on the main consol, FG closes and does not come back up. This goes the same for the settings button as well. I also think this is causing problems with the chat window not appearing in a 5e game im in. I have tried to run as admin both the FGupdater and Updaterenging.exe. Any suggestions to fix this?

Psyonical please try the following:

Locate your FG application folder - under c:\program files or c:\program files (x86) and rename it.
Locate your data file - usually under %appdata% and rename it

Open regedit and rename the following Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Fantasy Grounds

Redownload the installer.
Run it. Do you get prompted for Admin credentials? If so - in future you should run FG as Admin using the right click option and Run As Administrator
Accept all the default paths and locations.
Enter your license key and forum username/password. If you bought on steam make sure steam is running.

Copy your campaigns back from the renamed folder.
