View Full Version : How do I edit the 5e PHB race and class entries?

Hi all,

I've purchased the 5e PHB on fantasy grounds. I'd like to add a custom race into the library and I'd like it to show up right along with all the other races. I'd also like to add a few archetypes for classes that show up right with the others. I don't want the players to have to open multiple library sources to see the options available.

As I'm looking through the folders in Fantasy Grounds, I don't see any files that look like they actual contain this information. It doesn't seem to be in the modules. The rulesets contain xml files with references to classes but don't seem to contain any of the actual class information as far as I can tell. Can you point me in the direction I need to look?

Thanks!

You won't find any files to change. I am pretty sure, that Smiteworks has to protect the "integrety of the works" and some such. If you want to make other classes and such, you will have to make you own modules. Which is quite doable.

Bummer. So I'll have to have the players going through two sources. That's annoying. Thanks for the help!

If anyone knows a workaround that would be much appreciated!

Just enter stuff manually into their sheets - it should only need to be done once.

You may also want to have a look at the Par5e tool. See the sticky in the 5e thread
