Hey All,

I have played both D6 and D20 Star wars rpg on table top and began GMing D6 recently. However Star Wars D6 rule set is very incomplete so I am going to try out D20.

Does anyone have any experience in the D20 rule set? Is is well done?

Also, anyone have any experience with Edge of the Empire. I am never played that one.

I like it and play it regularly. The dice pool mechanic can take a little bit of getting used to (although the FG ruleset helps lots with that). There's a very functional ruleset available: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?24151-Star-Wars-Edge-of-the-Empire-Age-of-Rebellion-Force-and-Destiny-v2-ruleset

And some library modules too: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?24150-Star-Wars-Edge-of-the-Empire-Library-modules

Are you asking about the ruleset, or the actual game?

Rule sets.

The D6 is very unfinished.
The D20 from what i can tell seems a lot better but a few issues (you cant insert an amount into weapon damage)
I have no experience with the EtoE ruleset (or game)

you cant insert an amount into weapon damage
Drag the relevant dice from below the chat window to the damage slot.

You can download the EotE quickstart rules for free here: https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/18/ff/18ff8afe-bf19-47a3-97e5-a313ded3d6b3/under_a_black_sun_lores.pdf This will give you an idea of the rules and game mechanics.

There are also a few videos that you can watch on the EotE thread to give you an idea of the FG ruleset.

This video from FG Con 6 (player perspective) gives a good idea of how a game plays: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpAnb8EAz4Y&list=PLBW-SmHnjnPE7sCNsK6UGMDxOFMM4dky4&index=1

Thanks Trenloe

i have been looking into EotE. Learning the dice atm. Seems like a neat game but the dice are very different.

Yes, they are. I like the narrative aspects of them and using FG take a lot of the work out of calculating the net result of a roll. This video might help a little in showing how FG handles them and also how the dice work in EotE in general:
