The Unity update.. Linux support Day 1?

While i'm okay with the current support of wine comparability, will the unity version come with day 1 native Linux support? Or at least 'SteamOS' support though steam which by extension means pretty much every Debian and downstream (Ubuntu, mint, etc..) distribution will be supported by default.

I'm aware Unity can export to several platforms, it's more a matter if they'll be supported on the Linux platform, just because it can, doesn't mean it will. I do hope they'll support the steamOS variant.

That is what we are hoping to accomplish. We will likely look to recruit some Linux users to help us test things during the final stages of development.

The only thing I can suggest, that several developers overlook in their unity conversion is that to remember that the Linux filesystem is case sensitive, so lowercase all those resources! :)
