Demo Vs Full Version

Ok I looked through but didnt see any (in a quick browse..) info about Demo version used with full version...

So.. I have Full version and the Monster pack, working on PHB pack next. I have 2 others that have the full version. How many (if any) of my players can use the demo version and still log in and play remotely?

If the GM has a full licence only one demo licence can connect, and no others (demo or full) can connect. When this happens the campaign switches to "demo" mode with the one demo licence connected. If another demo licence tries to connect they will be blocked, if a full licence connects the campaign will switch from "demo" mode to normal and the demo licence will be kicked off the connection.

Yep they'll need to get at least a full licence (one-off purchase or monthly subscription), or you upgrade to ultimate.

Correct. You'll need to swap licence keys to the one given as part of the subscription. Your purchases are stored against your FG login, not your license, so you can swap around without fear of losing data/purchases.

I would encourage my player to spend the $4/month rather than you continuing to be the one doing all the spending....

yes that would be the better option, especially with 8 players and only 4 of them owning a copy

Alternately now that gift certificates are available. Have them buy them in small amounts every month or so and then get the full license.

Or bite the bullet, support Smiteworks, love your friends and get the ultimate licence and all 5E DLC and bathe in the glow of Smiteworky awesomeness so that everyone can play with demo licenses! :P

I believe the gift cards are ONLY through the FG store here.

Steam I think usually has a 12-24 hour delay behind the site store.

Yea, I got the ultimate version and... its... not very different from the normal but I no longer have to worry about friends who I'm introducing to fantasy grounds not being able to join my games.

After my present campaign I plan on DMing much smaller campaigns as Princes of the Apocalypse may have been a bit much =/ but fantasy grounds is really good.

I wish it had a few more things like music and more lighting options, the camp fire colors feels more like sunset. But I don't know how long the software's been out so it may just be that its still early in its development.

Its been out for 13ish years, but the code base is very antiquated and is getting redone sometime within the next year or two.

Wow so many functions, thanks for that I will look at it, adding some ambient music or combat music would be very nice! Or build up music, music for intrigue, and music for magical mysteries.
