Encounter Builder

So this is a bit embarrassing, but I just noticed that there seems to be a functional Encounter Builder in FG. However, when I try to build an encounter that matches one from an online calculator:

...they don't match up(CR/XP). I'm guessing this is because FG isn't taking into account my Players characters? Anyhelp with how to use the built-in encounter builder would be greatly appreciated.

The CR calculator in the FG ruleset uses the XP to CR table on page 9 of the MM. This doesn't take the party composition into account, it's a straight XP to CR mapping.

It calculates the difficulty of the encounter according to the DMG. It doesnt use CR and is similar to the tool in your original post (in fact I used that one to verify my calculation).
It takes into account your party either from the combat-tracker or from the party sheet
