See new posting here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?27159-Quick-Character-Build-(15-minutes)-for-Fanasty-Grounds-5E

I don't know if someone has done this, but I would love evaluations on my rudimentary QUICK character creation steps...

Give it a try and fire away with criticisms/improvements.

ThanX!

In addition to the 26 pregens I made (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?26203-5E-pre-gen-player-characters), I'm hoping this will help people be able to get into games with characters they build AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!

Doug's video tutorial is great, but it's not complete, also a written format lends itself (for some people) to faster application? But here's my video of following this list... https://youtu.be/gWR4kerWbdU

Zacchaeus has done quite masterful work on the 5E Character Sheet Wiki, but again, this post is designed for the QUICKIE character, as it were. PLAY NOW, study later.

It looks like you may have missed this post (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?26231-Let-s-Create-A-character) and this one (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?26286-5e-Wiki-update-project). :)

Wow. No, but WOW! Quite extensive. Actually AWESOME in all ways. Love those two posts. Mine was meant to be a quick (down and dirty) "build it in 5 minutes" kind of a guide. You obviously have created the end result version showing all the meat and vegetables.

Really great!

I'll be trying to memorize that entire wiki... Ha!

I hope my little list will help people who have the mentality of "buy the toy, take it home, open it, and start playing with it". Non instruction readers, if you will, to get into a game FAST! That was my goal.

Thoughts?

Indeed, as you say it outlines things in short order and will certainly create characters quickly. And it's simple. It's likely only after a couple of sessions that players or DMs are likely to want to go into things in the kind of depth that the wiki does.
