So yesterday I was scouring Reddit after being hugely impressed upon my finding of the Monster a Day (https://www.reddit.com/r/monsteraday) page, and I stumbled across something else equally awesome.
If anyone here has ever played Monster Hunter, you'll be in for a treat. (https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/3076j1/presenting_doodles_and_dragons_a_monster_hunter/)

Now, I have parsed this entire supplement of information into a FG module, and am wondering what I need to do in terms of permission from the author to share it on here for others to use.
Is/can that be allowed? If so, how, and if not, how come?

As far as I know, any written work is considered copyrighted unless specifically granted permission to redistribute via a license (such as OGL).

You can always use material you find and repackage in your own games, but you can't distribute without permission or license to do so.

If you do manage to get permission to share your module, I'd love to download it :)

I have talked to the author of the stat block and class conversions. He's given me permission for all the text. All the information is free use however the images are part of Capcom's copyright. I'm going to investigate a little more, just to be sure but it's not hopeful on the art front. Otherwise I will just remove the images and copyright stuff and share the parsed information.

sturtus has been putting together an FG module. Info here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?25960-Monster-A-Day-FG-module-help

@spite - Based off your feedback, the images should be removed from the module.

I omitted the images from the module once I found out he had just lifted them from the Internet. Tokens, on the other hand, might be fun to make.

Yea images are the main problem. I've just been using TokenTool and the images he provided to make tokens for the Monster a Day ones, and will probably do the same for the Monster Hunter ones. It's just something people are going to need to do themselves if they want the art, as I can't find any art relating to it that isn't under copyright. But that's no biggy, finding art is the easiest part of making your own module for home games.

I've downloaded this but how do i get this module to show up in the library? I copied the file into the campaign folder and the modules folder?
Any help really appreciated.

Find you App Data folder:
https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/File_Locations

Put the .mod file into the top level /modules folder
Open FG. Open the 5e campaign you wish to use the module in. Open Library. Click Modules. Load the module by clicking the little book.
