Is the 3.99 sub a month not enough for me to create my character for 5th edition and play?

The 3.99 sub gets you Fantasy Grounds. So you can play in someone else's game and when you are connected to them you can create a character for their campaign (assuming they have a player pack).

You could also get a players pack so you could do make a character when you are not connected to someone.

Hello Shadowsoul, you can also create a character without any of the preloaded data packs. Alternately, if you connect to a DM who has the packs, you can utilize them while connected to make character creation a bit smoother. Be sure to check the wiki for 5E videos and user guides for character creation.
