Grouping Maps/Images for the players

Last night I figured out I could group this section by using the group ribbons, but the players don't see these groups (if the item in question is set to visible). Therefore, if I have a number of NPC portraits the players can look at, or graphical handouts, they all end up all jumbled in a single unified list.

How would I go about organizing these uniquely different datum outside of naming them and relying on alphabetical sort?

That's all you can do - players only see a single list.

You can manage the list the players see by unsharing images no longer needed - click the (P) or (S) icon to the right of the shared image in the GM list to remove sharing and hence remove the image from the player list.
