No longer needed - FG v3.1.3 includes this functionality.

Below is an extension that allows creating a list of quests within the usual campaign lists interface, linking these quests in story entries and exporting of quest entries into a module. Use of the resulting module doesn't need this extension.

Version: 2.0 - First full release.
Compatibility: CoreRPG based rulesets with Quest XP allocation via party sheets (3.5E, PFRPG, 4E, 5E, C&C, etc.) - there is currently an issue with drag/drop quests in 3.5E, PFRPG, 4E and C&C - hopefully Smiteworks will fix this issue at some point to provide full compatibility.

Download the "Quests Export.ext" file attached at the end of this post, place in your <FG App Data>\extensions directory and activate the "Quests Export" extension on the Load Campaign screen of Fantasy Grounds.

How it works

A "Quests" button is added to the desktop (this uses the standard, base CoreRPG button style):

This allows the opening of a standard campaign data list and the entry of quest records:

You can then use quests just like any other campaign data entity - drag/drop it in story entries, drag/drop it into the Party Sheet -> XP -> Quests section, etc.. (Note: currently drag/drop is limited to the 5E ruleset).

You can also export these quests into a module.

The "Quests" option is added to the Module Export window (right at the bottom, scroll down to see it):

This allows the GM to export Quests entered into the new Quests campaign data list.

Result
The exported Quests will appear in a Quests entry for this module in the library:

If you are running the extension they will also appear in the Quests campaign data list as a new category (tab).

You do not need to have this extension enabled to use modules created with the extension.

Without the extension the quests only appear in the library and any links from story entries.

To use the quests you can:

Drag directly to the quests section of the party sheet. (Currently only works in 5E).
Add to a story entry for later use. i.e. Drag from the story entry to the Quests section of the party sheet at a later time to allocate the quest.

Gotchas

Currently drag/drop quests to the Party Sheet doesn't work in 3.5E, Pathfinder, 4E and C&C. This has been reported as a bug. Hopefully a future version will fix this and allow full quest drag/drop functionality. Issue reported here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?26078-Drag-Drop-of-quests-in-the-party-sheet-doesn-t-work-for-3-5E-PF-4E-and-C-amp-C-rulesets&p=231279#post231279
Different rulesets and even different themes for the same ruleset present graphics in a different way. The default CoreRPG style is used for the Quests sidebar button - this won't fit in all themes. Also, the Quests data window has a simple "Quests" title - the exact placing of this varies from theme to theme. These are purely ascetics and don't affect the use of this generic extension.

This extension enjoyed a short, but happy life. As of FG v3.1.3 it is now part of the base ruleset.
