Hey all,
I love/hate PAR5E. I love it because it's awesome and great! It can do a lot of cool things. I hate it, because I'm not a programmer. I can fat finger my way through short adventures and campaigns, but for longer stuff, I prefer the visual interface of creating content in FG itself.
So enter my problem. With the 5E ruleset, FG can /export about 90% of what I need. But I can't export pre-gen characters, and namely, Spells and Quests.
I see from my LMoP module (which I assume was made using PAR5E), you can in fact have quests, spells, backgrounds, pre-gens, in addition to the normal things that FG can export. How do I go about exporting that stuff from FG after I've made it in FG.
I would really like to avoid using PAR5E, because thousands of lines of code in a single [insertName].txt makes my head ache ever so much.
I've heard Doug talk about something called a Merge ID, when exporting from FG to bundle exports, but I can't seem to find anything about Merge IDs in the PAR5E documentation.
It seems like what I'm looking for is right in an evasive sweet spot, between beautiful UI content creation and horrible, death-by-lines-of-code.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks,
Jake(DM)
