I was trying to control which rulesets load by default.

I tried removing D&D3.5 from the data ruleset folder but that seemed to be a fatal move.

I have done some googling and forum searching and didn't find a place where this was covered explicitly. I did a search for "base.xml" and came up empty.

Would appreciate some guidance on this .

Have a good day.

No Ruleset loads by default - a Ruleset is chosen from the FG Launcher when a new Campaign is created or loaded.

The list of Rulesets in the FG Launcher is taken from the pak file and directory names in the rulesets folder in the FG data folder. If one of the "standard" rulesets that come with FG isn't in that folder then it will be downloaded automatically when an update is performed.

So...

Best leave them alone - they're not hurting anything nor are they taking up very much space (especially on today's hard drives).

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

I just wanted to make sure I was using the PF ruleset for all the calculations. Perhaps this is happening already.

Your explanation was excellent though. Thank you.

Pathfinder is layered on 3.5e which is layered on CoreRPG so you need all three for PF to work.
