Hey all, I am new to Fantasy Grounds and slightly new to most D&D style RPG. I'm looking for any group of people to play with on a regular basis. If you have any questions get a hold of me on here on through Steam at https://steamcommunity.com/id/CGLyon/ or https://steamcommunity.com/id/Hahsypotomus/. I currently only have the free version but I am more than willing to upgrade should I like it. Thank you for your time in reading this and I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Hi Suspect, and Welcome!

It shouldn't take you too long to find a game. In the meantime, if you're open to some advice this post (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?25750-Template-for-Player(s)-Looking-for-Group-Listings&p=228060&viewfull=1#post228060) will make finding a game easier and faster for you.

Also in preparation, as you've said you're new you may like to check out the various Tutorial Videos available on the FG Wiki. These will help you get up to speed in playing any game with FG. Damned's are good, as are Xorn's, and people seem to like mine as well (mine are also available from the links in my sig, below). Start with the ones on the CoreRPG because this forms the "foundations" of just about all of the games we play with FG, and you'll learn about 80% of everything you'll need to know :)

Finally, consider a One-Shot game at the Gamer Geekend online event or one of the other semi-regular Cons we run - it'll give you a chance to get your feet wet and help find some people to game with longer term (that's your que, damned)

Apart from all that, keep asking questions - we're a pretty friendly lot here so don't be afraid of asking lots of Qs

Cheers

Thank you very much. I'll try some stuff out. I'll look out for some One-shot games.

Hey TheSuspect have a look at Gamer Geekend coming up in less than 2 weeks now.

There is a whole bunch of RPG sessions running at Gamer Geekend including:
Star Wars, Pathfinder, 5e, Castles&Crusades, Call of Cthulhu and 8 Savage Worlds games ranging from Achtung! Cthulhu to Team Dangerous, Star Trek to Firefly, and Top Secret to the A-Team.
https://www.gamergeekend.org/events/role-playing-games/

One Shots are good to get a taste of the hobby, meet some other players and GMs and to try some different systems.

Need time zone, latest stop, earliest start and days of the week for your availability. Also, what kinds of games you might be interested in.
