I've made for myself some encounter tables for D&D 5E and I thought I might share it. I use them every time when preparing scenarios - these are not ready-to-run encounters, just handy random monsters :mad: to encounter during adventure.
There are 10 tables for 10 terrain types (ie. forest, plains etc.), each containing three climate zones (cold, temperate, warm) - I tried to put monsters where they mostly dwell by terrain/climate and also include their commonness in the results - encountering a dragon is an extremely rare event.
