cloak of displacement 5e any help on how to set it up so that the effect stays

trying to set up a cloak of displacement that will give the effect of displacement and stay untell the charicter is hit. have it set up now but have to reemplement it after each attack. any help will help

There's nothing that expires an effect on a positive hit - it can expire after an attack (not taking the result into account), which I'm guessing is what you currently have setup. So, you're really going to have to manually remove the effect when the character is hit. You might find the player effect removal extension (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?23566-5E-Player-Effect-Removal-Extension) to help with this - it will allow players to remove effects they've applied.
