Question on upgrading to Ultimate

So I purchased the Regular Licence on Steam, as well as a bunch of modules. Now I'm looking to host some friends and would like to try out Ultimate via the $10/month, while still using my primary account. Can I do this? Reading the FAQ leads me to think this is not going to work.

Your additional purchases are linked to your Steam account (for Steam DLC) or your Fantasy Grounds account (for FG web store purchases). The licence is not linked to these - it is a key you enter in the Settings screen of FG. So, you can keep using your primary account, just change the licence key from your full to the one you get with your ultimate subscription and run an update, you'll keep your DLC/purchases.
