View Full Version : How to show squars moved?

I see in some of the online video's that you can hold Ctrl down and move your character and it will show you how many feet your moving... but when I do that as a player it does not show anything. What am I doing wrong? Running a demo game with the DM and PC on the same system.

Do you have a grid on the map? Are the tokens locked by the DM?

I have a grid on the map, and the tokens are in the combat tracker. I don't think I have them locked as the DM. On the DM map I can't get the NPC tokens to show the movement. I clearly am missing something basic.

NPC tokens don't show that.

Most rulesets will do that for NPC as well. I believe the DM can drag the token using the middle mouse button (or both left and right at the same time) to get the same effect as a player dragging his locked token.

Or hold Ctrl and drag (as the GM).

to show npc move on grid...use the middle mouse button and drag the token.
