Draging chat commands to the short cut window

I've noticed that you can drag text that is written in the chat line (but you haven't yet sent) to the short cut bar at the bottom.

But unfortunately the short cut bar only allows for standard IC comments, so even if you drag it down while holding Shift+Control for an emote if you click on the short cut it comes out as if spoken in character.

Is this a bug or a feature? :?

And is there any way to quick slot emotes or other styles of text?

What you can do is type eg

/ooc What bonuses can I apply

and drag that to the hotkeys. Then you can either hit the hotkey button or drag the message to the chat line and press enter and the message comes out as out-of-character.

Other slash-commands you can use there are /act and /emote (or shortly /o, /a and /e).
