Portraits and importing

Now I'm probably doing something really stupid, or rather not doing something that I should be.

Anyway, when a character is created in one campaign and then exported out and imported into another campaign the portrait doesn't port over. In other words in the new campaign the character lacks the portrait assigned to it when it was created. So, what am I doing wrong?

I dont think it exports the Portrait... its not you...

Portraits and tokens are just references. FG strips them because it is assumed the reference would no longer be valid if you moved the character to another campaign.
