Player using a Mac, I have ultimate license..

so one of my new players is using a mac. From what I understand they can download through steam and it runs fine without having to go the confusing winebottler route etc. My question is can they download the demo, and still play in my games since I have the ultimate license? Or are they stuck paying $40 to play my "free for my players" game?

The demo works. Never tried it myself but it's been confirmed.
