Linefeed in Chatframe?

Hi!
Is it possible to enter a linefeed/carriage return in a story entry that i format as chatframe?
When I hit enter while typing the next line is outside of the chatframe.
But in the db.xml of some other modules I see that having an escaped carriage return does have the desired effect.
Is it not possible to enter this from the ui?

No. I usually just use multiple chat frames with the speaker set the same (if any).
