You can also make pretty nice maps with NWN 2... a bit of a learning curve, but they work.

Gah! I wrote a few modules for NWN and the map making bit of that was clunky but it worked. Then NWN2 came along and they made all this fancy map stuff using things I couldn't get my head around and requiring a degree in artistic talent. End of my module making career.
