We've mostly been utilizing roll20, but I went ahead and bought into the FG 5e packages, and love what I see. We're platform agnostic, but I'm hoping to see more DMs start offering games on FG. We've got around 200 players and 5-6 DMs that run games every week or so. Just thought I'd drop by and let folks know, maybe raise the profile for FG within the group a bit.

If your a DM and want to find players, it takes about 10 hours to completely fill 6 player slots with 5-6 alternate slots. Our attendance rate is really good, and we have the ability to moderate problematic members (if the need ever arises, which thankfully it has not). The google group works in a similar fashion to Pathfinder Society Online Collective, if anyone is familiar with that. We've had a rise in activity once Expeditions was announced as AL legal.

Hope to see yall there!

Also: The moderation team specifically tries to help making things easier for DMs. Mostly we've been focusing on helping new DMs learn roll and provide resources, such as maps, macros, advice, etc. So new DMs should definitely stop by. Lots of good folks there to help.

I would be interested in GMing some games, although I haven't played all that much 5E yet. I looked at the website, but I didn't see much for the online community. What would be the initial steps for a GM to get registered and acquire an adventure?

For a gm to run expedition games online you must do 3 things, get a DCI number, get access to the adventures! and stream your games online through twitch or some other free service.

If you need a DCI number, pm me with your email and I can send you a code to obtain one online.

If you need to obtain the adventures, follow the link here (https://dndadventurersleague.org/get-involved/#where) and go to the online play section.

If you need help streaming, follow the link here (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?23766-AL-on-FG-Resources) and go to the section on streaming.

There are a few more resources here: https://dndonlinecollective.blogspot.com/

Some instructions on how to use the google group to find players, or how to sign up for games, and some fan made maps to help DMs with game prep.
