This seems a little confusing, but how exactly do you so it?

I'm in the Manage Characters section, but there are two screens for entry and I don't know what goes where

Screen 1

Screen 2

I didn't see anything going into detail about this, but then I could just be blind lol!

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

I had a little trouble with it as well and started a thread on this. https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?23699-Help-with-Point-Buy-system. the first screen is where you place point costs the second page is the attributes page..

I have to tell you that it takes long enough to set up point buy, that I think you might was well do it by hand on the character sheet.

Got it working, thanks. I didn't realize I needed to add the extra fields.

@YourSwordisMine - Yes, you need to select the Points tab, click the Define Point Ranges button in the bottom right of the window and then right click in the window to create new entries. You then assign the ranges you want with a point score. When finished click the Define Point Range button and you can now assign your scores and the tool will auto-calculate the number of points used. Once finished you can drag the ability scores you have settled on onto your chosen character sheet.

This is what mine looks like for creating 5e characters (once you've set the ranges they should sit there for that ruleset until you change them again):
