I am looking for a 5e game to get into for weekday nights. I am usually available 5pm or so during the weekdays. I really want to play 5e as a player rather than DM.

Scuro - keep dropping the hint to your players... they need to take a turn sometime or risk GM burnout and getting NO games!

Hey RogueDK....

So... there are probably three parts to learning to GM.
You need a reasonable familiarity with the rules
You need a reasonable ability to adlib and to tell a story
You need a reasonable grasp of Fantasy Grounds

Now to be honest - you can probably get away with 2 out 3.
You only get better at being a GM by doing it. And you can always get better. And you will have off days.

I cant help you learn the rules. I cant help you tell a good story. But if you need help with learning a few tips on using FG I can help or I can help find someone to help you.

If you are upfront with the players - hey, im new at this - its going to be a bit bumpy but we will get better as we go along - your players wont mind.
Assemble a good group and after a while suggest to the group that one of them takes a turn running things for a while....

Well I did GM decades ago (man that made me sound old) with my friends. I don't have a problem with the creative side of storytelling, so that leaves me with the rules and especially PF to tackle. I need a nice group to play with where I can pick up on these things, while we play.
After a while I would gladly have a shot at GMing.
