I can't get fantasygrounds.exe to open at all.

I'm having trouble with opening fantasygrounds.exe. It doesn't open at all. I tried clicking the right mouse button and running as administrator. I updated at least five times. I even reinstalled windows 7 just to see if that would work. Also, the fantasyground desktop icon shows a generic icon instead of the d20 icon.

Check your anti-virus/security setup to see if it is blocking Fantasy Grounds.

I assume that you are running on Windows, but let us know if you are running on Mac via WINE. I would also recommend checking the task manager for any existing processes for Fantasy Grounds and killing those. I have seen rare cases where a reboot was required after a Windows update to video display drivers and it would appear that FG never drew anything to the graphics display. In that case, a reboot fixed it.
