Is there a way to find out your host name if you are already in the campaign, rather than closing it and going back to the load screen to find out what the host name is?

No. I dont think there is.
You can go to https://whatismyipaddress.com and give them that address instead though.

hmm not sure how that would work if I have 2 diff games open (using one to copy/paste stuff into the new one) while players are connected making their character sheets..
there needs to be a command like /hostname and it outputs what the current hostname is.

no actually it does work.
if you launch 2 sessions both as a host - only the first one will be accessible to your players
if you launch the prep one before you launch the one for the players they will connect to the prep one.

Also, remember to password your prep games (otherwise you might have players dropping in to say hi!). The difference in password between the play campaign and prep campaign can help players tell which one they are logging into.

The easiest way to find out your host name once you have started your server is to just start another instance, click load campaign and look at it in the alias. Then you can close the second instance.

can you password a game you've already created?

The campaign itself isn't password protected, just the session accessing it. So when you start up your prep session, change the password then and then change it back when you start your game session.

can you password a game you've already created?

Created, yes, but not if you are logged into it. You set/change the password in the UI when you are choosing which campaign to launch.
