Well I helped my ground automate their attacks/spells using their sheets that was easy. Then I go and look on the NPC sheets are realize I can't just drag and drop dice. ....

1. Why? What?

2. Well lets try doing this [Attack][1d6+1] no dice.. very literally.

3. So how do I do this can I do this?

4. Do actions not carry over from NPC sheets onto the combat tracker?

See I type in Slam Melee [ATK: +5] [DMG: 1d8+3 piercing] on the combat track and I can click each one if I try to use what transfers over from the NPC sheet it doesn't work.

Please help just moved over from pathfinder :<

The syntax is:
Slam Melee Attack
+5 to hit 1d8+3 piercing damage

So wait doing all the stuff with [] is not needed any more?

I don't play Pathfinder but the syntax for 5e is as Thegroo says above. So, no, you don't need brackets.
