View Full Version : Export module with placed tokens

I'm attempting to build a module with tokens pre-placed on a map/image. My goal is to have the tokens all placed on the image when the image is loaded as a module inside my main campaign. The tokens are mostly objects, such as furniture, that we would manipulate in the main campaign.

I create a new campaign. Open an image. Place custom tokens that I host (not from a module). Export the campaign with /export. Check Images. Drag all the tokens I placed on the image into the token export spot on the bottom. Click export.

Open my main campaign. Open Library and activate module. Open image. Tokens are not placed.

Is this just how it functions? Is there any way to enable token placement to stick upon export?

By using Enhanced Images Extension, I could potentially build a map with tile images in the background layer, furniture and objects in the features layer, and leave the top play layer empty for dropping in NPC's and PC's, then export the module. This would allow for quick map making without Photoshop or Gimp.

Feature Request: Can we allow for dragging and dropping in folders/bags of tokens into the export window? I sometimes have many tokens to export. Thanks.

Yes, this is how it currently "works". When an image is exported the FG references to tokens placed on the map is not exported.

To enable this to occur, your feature request should be: Allow token placement details to be exported with Maps/Images. I suggest you add this to the FG wishlist, which can be found here: https://fg2app.idea.informer.com/proj/

You feature request as you write it above already exists as an entry in the wishlist, go and vote for it! https://fg2app.idea.informer.com/proj/?ia=75954
