View Full Version : PFRPG Ruleset problem

In our game tonight my players can roll no dice, they continue to get script errors. In another post in Healing Forum someone suggested deleting the ruleset pack for CoreRPG and the ruleset in question and then updating FG to allow it to reinstall them.

CoreRPG reloaded but the "new" PFRPG.pak is only 12KB. This seems to be a wee bit small for an entire ruleset.

Any suggestion/ideas as to what has happened and is anyone else having these issues?

definitely retry that process - that file is not complete.

Actually - Im WRONG.
PRRPG is 12kb!
Most of it is in the 3.5e.Pak and CoreRPG.Pak

Script Error: [string "desktop/scripts/modifierstack.lua"]:241: attempt to index field 'targeting' (a nil value)
Network Warning: Unable to locate requested file '[email protected] - Pathfinder Effects Library'
Script Error: [string "desktop/scripts/modifierstack.lua"]:241: attempt to index field 'targeting' (a nil value)

These are the script errors we are getting. Unable to play at all since rolls from character sheet just generate script errors with no rolls being made. I, as GM, also cannot make rolls for characters or NPCs.

So should we also delete the 3.5 ruleset and let the updater reinstall it?

Turn off all your extensions too, and if that fixes it turn them back on one at a time.

We did deleted 3.5, PFRPG and CoreRPG.pak. Then reinstalled thru the updater and nothing works, still getting script errors.

Does Pathfinder Effects Library ring any bells?
Do you have a module loaded (on not have a module loaded that you used to) with this or similar name?

Can you redownload this module, reactivate and restart?

also try clearing the Effects on one character and retrying.

OK, turning off all the extensions seems to have fixed it, now to figure out which one of the dozen or so I run is causing the problem.

This is a classic problem that occurs after an update to the base ruleset (in this case going from 3.0.9 to 3.0.10) - *always* check your extensions for compatibility. I try to update the extensions I'm responsible for as soon after a release as I can and update the main extension threads: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?15925-List-of-Extensions and https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?20320-FG-3-0-CoreRPG-Extensions

Hopefully the culprit will have an updated extension to fix your issue/s.
