Hello Everyone!

First, a disclaimer: I'm a complete newbie to Fantasy Grounds and very new to tabletop RPGs in general. I've known of tabletop RPGs for many years but have rarely had the opportunity to play.

Now that aside, I'm wondering if there are any sci-fi games ongoing or potentially starting up? I'm not sure what sci-fi rulesets are currently popular but I think I've seen some older threads on this forum mention Rogue Trader and Star Wars campaigns. It's probably a bit obscure but if anyone remembers Star Frontiers, I'd find that particularly interesting!

I tried to get a Traveller game going a few months back, but while lots of people said they wanted to play, I ended up with mostly no-shows for the first few game sessions.

There has been some consistent interest in "Star Wars: Edge of the Empire" and "Star Wars: Age of Rebellion," the RPGs by Fantasy Flight Games. I played in one session of the AoR Beginner Box, and we had fun. There's a great "Edge" ruleset available here, so the tools exist for good Star Wars roleplaying.

I'd be interested in running a SW game and even have started putting the campaign into FG, but I can't get port forwarding to work on my new laptop :(

there seems to be the old savage worlds game with a SF feel, no doubt there will be more now that the last parsec setting has been published

Andraax - would you be interested in running a one shot for FG Con (https://www.fg-con.com/)?

Also (like four days later), welcome to the community bigboom. You'll find there's a bit of chaos but lots of support and a decent amount of meaningful communication on the FG boards. While you may not discover precisely what you're looking for right away, if you're adaptable, you can certainly find some kind of worthwhile diversion. Continue to be upfront about your needs, expectations, and concerns, and I am certain you'll do fine.

We are fortunate to have your participation.

damned: Perhaps I'm using the FG Calendar incorrectly but I can't seem to locate Star Wars sessions there. Can you point me to them? I should be looking here, right?

Dr_Babylon: Thanks for the warm welcome!! I'll continue to keep an eye out for potential campaigns to join!

I ran a Gurps Prime Directive game last year but it kinda died due to drop outs.
I used to run a Dr Who: Adventures in Time and Space game a few years back.
My preference is SF over Fantasy but it is a niche genre here I think.
