Targeting only through Map Icons?

I just bought the ruleset and I don't like to use battle maps. Is the targeting for RMC ruleset always done through map tokens? I can't get it to target without a map but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Try CTRL-Clicking on the target in the Combat Tracker.

I tried your suggestion but no dice. The youtube video shows dragging attack to opponent but all that seems to do is give the attack to the defender

I don't think you can target using the map and tokens with the RMC ruleset. When FG v3 was released it changed targetting so the only way that I know to target is to drag the target's name in the combat tracker to the Attack vs section for the attack. I've attached a picture to show where to drag from and to.

For PCs only the one entry will fill. The GM has a preference for GM Fill All Targets which will fill all the entries for a combatant if it is set to Yes. This should work well for what you are trying to accomplish.
