Have we lost the old search forum, that came with the forum software? that used to give more visual information than I seem to get from the google search. ie attachments, number of pages etc

I removed the menu option for it. It was more intensive than the Google search and less featured as far as actual search terms.

the biggest drawback to this search is that all search terms were "OR" meaning that putting more search terms in gave you worse results...

Yes, that made it mostly useless to most of my needs.
