I haven't installed FG yet, just still thinking about it... But wanted to know if it was possible to share an Ultimate License among a troop? I have about 6-8 players and 3 of them take turns to story tell three different games. (D&D 4.0, WtA, and Exalted) Mostly just wanted to know the most cost efficient way to deal with this if we do decide to take on FG.

The ultimate license is for one user only and not transferable to other users.

If you have a regular gaming group where 3 are GMs and the rest will only ever be players then your group could get 3 GM licenses and the players can buy player licenses for $24: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.xcp?id=SWK02 The player license allows the player to connect to a GM with the full/GM license. It can be upgraded to a full at a later date if the player wants to take the plunge into GMing.

There is also a Fantasy Grounds 4 pack (4 full/GM licenses for the cost of 3) if you purchase through Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/252690/ The application is exactly the same (Steam just has a link that launches the same base Fantasy Grounds installation) and this might save you money purchasing this way. If you have 8 people in your group, buying two of the 4 GM packages from steam might be the way to go - $30 each and the group of 8 can swap GMing activities among all of the 8 people, this would be $240 for 8 people. Or, buy the 4-for-the-price-of-3 pack from Steam for the GMs and then 4 player licenses from the FG website (Steam and FG website apps are exactly the same and work together) - this would be $216 for 8 people (4 players and 4 GMs).

Another option you might want to investigate is the $10/month Ultimate subscription. The first GM gets the subscriptions for however many months they GM for, then the next GM picks up a subscription for themselves to run their game (the first GM lets the subscription lapse if they're not running a game). There would be some overlap in the monthly subscription, but this might be a good way to change the GM responsibilities around the group. Note: the subscription does not in any way contribute to a future purchase. So, if after using FG for a couple of months and you're hooked (you might well be) it's a good idea to purchase a full license (or ultimate) early to keep your total investment down.
