Connection Problems

We are having problems getting a FG Con game started. Players are experiencing really slow connection time. 3 connected, 3 still trying since 8pm. Any tips?

You hosting or connecting?
Neither the FantasyGrounds.com or fg-con.com sites have anything to do with the actual ongoing connection other than:
a. if the GM is using an Ultimate license (incluing temp ones) validating the license when a demo user logs in
b. resolving the alias if that is being used

The ongoing connection is then entirely on the GMs side.
If the GMs speed is limited or his link or wifi is dropping packets it will cause issues for everyone
If the GMs firewall isnt allowing connections in then no one can connect

Also, make sure network diagnostics is off in Settings. It will really slow down connections.

I was hosting the game. Network diagnostics is off. Never had any problems before, but last night was a nightmare. It took me 90 mins and a reboot to get everybody connected. Not sure whether the problem was my upload connections speed or something else, but I haven't had a problem before.
