Can 5e characters be exported into something readable outside of FG?

They can be exported as FG XML - see GM Actions -> Export a character here: http://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Character_Management
But, you then need something to convert the FG specific XML into something human readable. The "easiest" way to do this is to use an XML Stylesheet (in a .xsl file) that, in tandem with the FG XML data, creates an HTML page that can be viewed in a browser. But, this is very specific to each ruleset and would need to be developed to allow this.
Dr Zeuss did this for the 4E ruleset a while ago and made it available in his FGII Campaign Tools: http://www.drzeuss.co.uk/fantasy-grounds/utilities-tools/ However, I don't think this is FG 3.0 compatible. A 5E compatible .xsl would need to be made anyway.
