Hello folks, I have noticed my freebie token sets have been getting a lot of downloads of late. So I thought I would wander over here and strike up a thread to post news whenever I create some new free tokens.
If your looking for my freebie token sets, I have a page specificaly setup to display them: Free Stuff (https://www.wyldfurr.com/index.php/all-portfolio-list/free-stuff/).
My most recent creations have been...

I like your work, and plan on purchasing some items relatively soon. One thing I'd like to see is a shield included in the standard poses.

Ahh, what did you think of the mini-adventure sites? I've not had any feedback on them yet.

Hello again folks, I'm keen to know if anyone uses the Persistent Spell Effect Templates (https://www.wyldfurr.com/index.php/product/persistent-spell-effect-templates/?utm_source=Fantasy%20Grounds%20Forum&utm_medium=Forum%20Post&utm_campaign=Forum%20Discussion) tokens I made a while ago? If you use them, I'm interested to know what your experience with them has been like? Are they handy, do they add to the experience of your game? Or do they get in the way?

I like them. :) However, I have to scale the images before I use them. For example, the darkness token is 180x180 pixels to a 5 foot square and is over 1MB in size - this is too big for my games in both resolution and image size (which will take a while to download to the players). Other than having to manually resize them I like them. I use the enhanced images extension so that I can put them on a lower layer so that there are no token stacking issues on the main play layer.

What map scale do you usually game with? I use a scale of 1:3 = 1 real world inch to 3 pixels. Thus the size of 180pixels to 1 5ft character square.
Darkness was a bit of a bugger, as the area of effect is so large, and thus why I broke it down into quarters.

I use 50 pixels = 5 feet. Based on other user feedback in the forums over the last few years, this (50 pixels = 5 feet) or 64 pixels = 5 feet is by far the most used.

Yup, I have seen that. I always thought it was a bit too.... small. You just lose so much detail in a 50 pixel box. Plus with the growth of computing power (both processing power and the slow decline in the cost of getting it), and internet connection speeds, 180px is not that much of a jump.

I don't think it's got much to do with computing power - it's really how big the GM and the players want to display the map on their monitor, and how big the maps the GM uses are.
If you take Full HD as an example of the average monitor size (1920x1080), and use 50 pixels per 5 foot square, then you can display a map that is 38 x 21 squares (if filling the whole screen). If you use 180 pixels per 5 foot square then you're limited to 10 x 6 squares on the whole screen. Most people would zoom the map out so they could see more of the map on the screen, which essentially has the effect of reducing the pixel count per square anyway.
If you're using small maps (10 x 6 squares or less) then 180 pixels per 5 foot is fine and does look great. But, if you're using larger maps (which I do, a lot) then 180 pixels is overkill for me

This is true, but players zoom in and out on the map all the time. With their focus being on the room or corridor their in at the time.
It is mostly a thing of personal choice, and since I started out making maps and tokens for myself (and I still pretty much do this) I ended up with 180px.
Each has it's pro's and con's.

I love your artwork and tokens but I also use 50px so I will just scale them down when I get to using them.

Just poped a new freebie up on the web site, this time it is a prop: War Banner (https://www.wyldfurr.com/index.php/product/war-banner/?utm_source=Fantasy%20Grounds%20Forum&utm_medium=Forum%20Post&utm_term=War%20Banner&utm_campaign=Forum%20Post). Use this banner as the call to war for a goblin horde or just as battlefield clutter.
