[5E] Player looking for game

I'm a long time players (since early 2E). I'm looking to try out 5E. I don't want to have to use pregens. I have access to the PHB and all the free PDFs from WotC. I'm wanting to play a caster of some sort preferably a wizard, but I'll settle for just being in a game.

I like role play, but I also like roll play.

I'm looking for a game where I can find both in equal measure. I'm ok with one shots as well.
