New to FG, looking to get my feet wet as a player with a view toward learning the GM side of 5e as soon as possible. I can only play in the evenings and would prefer Sunday evening but am open to other evenings as well. GMT -5. If you know of an opening, please let me know. Thanks!

Alzarian - my suggestion for now is keep doing what you are doing but have a look at other rulesets/genres too in the meantime.
The SXG guys run multiple games every week - mostly Savage Worlds - or try a PathFinder Society game.

I have a game Sunday evening (7pm US/Central) that could use another player or two... It's Castles and Crusades, low level for now.

Castles&Crusades is a great ruleset.
Old School D&D with some nice d20 style mechanics to smooth out the rough edges.
I run a Castles&Crusades campaign too but it is unfortunately full.
